The Body Shop 50% off SALE

I was recently introduced to Groupons where you can sign up and they will send you deals of the day on your email depending on your location ;)) The beauty about this coupon website is that they cover a lot of countries and will definitely help you save $$$ specially if you're traveling ;-)

Anyway, today, I found:

Who doesn't love deals? :P Although the my print screen says, GTA, I was able to explore the fine prints and found out that this specific deal is available nationwide in Canada! ye! :D

On the other note, The Body Shop also offer 50% off all products (except gift sets) atleast 2x a year in case you missed this "coupon". I'm a good shopper, can you tell? :P Anyway, On a regular half off sale, TBS will make you "buy" a basket for $5 which proceed goes towards a good cause. Then, you can buy anything that can fit into that basket for half off. I bought in this sale last time with my friend, Sandra. At that time, we were eligible for a decent brush set worth $80 for free (blush brush, powder brush, lash groomer, smudger, lip brush, brush bag) because we reached a total of more than $60 before discount which, cost was split equally into sisterly love <3 he he Soooooo if by any chance you missed this groupon deal, you know it's not the end of the world yet! :P ...You just have to watch out for magic 4 letters: S-A-L-E.

Happy Shopping!

Outfit of the day: April 21, 2011

I'm usually on a rush to get home but today, I had a little bit of time to capture what I wore to work and share to you a little bit of my life.

Outfit of the day
Jacket: Pure Alfred Sung Spring '11 Collection
Top: regular black t-shirt from FCUK
Bottoms: black satin pants from Costa Blanca
Shoes: Costa Blanca

Take a closer look:

Since this is going to be my first OFTD update, please be reminded that about 70% of accessories I own are from the Philippines. Not only they sell them inexpensive but they have more selections in there too! More so, I always request family and friends to send me accessories instead rather than books, clothing, etc to take home to Canada or when they ship gifts on birthdays and Christmases. They don't cost weight to carry. =)

necklace: it was gifted to me by my aunt
ring: marble ring my friend got from Palawan, Philippines
earrings: white pearl studs my friend got from Palawan, Philippines
clutch: from a small boutique in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Make up:
Face: Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer (oil free in Bisque), MAC Blotting powder (medium dark)
Eyes: Estee Lauder MagnaScopic Maximum Volume Mascara (in black for upper and bottom lashes) and also, NYX (White Pearl) eye/eyebrow pencil on my tear dot.
Brows: filled in with Anastassia brow powder (Ebony)
Cheeks: Estee Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush (14 Rose Nuance)
Lips: NYX Lipliner (813 Plush Red)- spreading it all over the lip, top it off with MAC Dazzleglass (in Euro Beat). I talk a lot at work and this technique lasts me all day even if I sip coffee in between.

It's a beautiful day out today! Positive 17 precious degree celcius =)

Hoping ya'll enjoying your Easter so far.

Lancome Ultra Lavande & Hello Kitty inspired hair and make-up

Few weeks ago, I was tasked to re-create a look from a company's later tear sheet and I chose Lancome's Ultra Lavande: Spring '11 Collection.

The bow at Lancome's Limited Edition Butterfly Fever (blush) reminded me of Hello Kitty- One of Sephora's new addition. To my surprise, both companies are trending identical colour scheme except HK lips are more on the cooler side.

By incorporating both looks from two companies, here is my interpretation:

....funnest part of this experience is capturing Rocio's goofy side ;)) The following photos are from Alan of floresfoto.

I hope you liked them ;-)

Thanks to Rocio for her willingness to test my vision in her make-up and also for Imtiaz, my all around stylist.

Buffalo Haul: updating my summer kit

Birthdays are special. Friends took me to Buffalo on my birthday weekend to literally feast on cheesecakes! We hung out in the area as it was a lovely day of 20 degrees! :D Knowing that I have a tendency to overspend at each time I cross the border, I brought cash with me to fulfill my bday resolution- no more cards! :P woo hooo! =D Below are the following stuff I got aside from hmmm 4 slices of cheesecakes I brought home on top of Carrot cheesecakes and a yummy pasta I feasted on during that day! =)

I always prefer Sephora in the states than in Canada. One, it's way cheaper ($3-8 less). Two, CAD is stronger than USD these days. Three, it's 3 stores down from Cheesecakes! he he he ;))

Ecotools' newest addition

Hello there. Like the other TOP QUESTION I receive on-the-job, here is what's new and what's latest in the industry. Or at least, in my opinion.

Prior to focusing my attention on make-up as another expression of the "artist" in me, I was aware about cosmetic hygiene practices due to my involvement appearing on stage as a dancer. Or when I was doing cheerleading, oftentimes we share glitters (ew right? ha ha but that's why we were called a team! LOL) and so I've had own plenty of make-up brushes then. Some of my first collection actually include Ecotools. They're "Earth-friendly beauty"just as they claim their make-up bristles are. Made of synthetic taklon with bamboo material handles and recycled aluminum ferrules, hence considered as cruelty free product. Further, the company also claim
